Graymatter Media Limited is fully certified by the CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) to provide aerial photography and aerial video capture using a drone. The drone or UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) or SUA (Small Unmanned Aircraft) or SUSA (Small Unmanned Surveillance Aircraft) is permitted to fly to 400 feet above ground level and can deliver stunning images and 4k video from an otherwise inaccessible view point. The drone used by Graymatter Media is in the 7kg and under category which gives greater scope for deployment than larger aircraft. And Graymatter’s systems allow a camera operator to control the camera view point and framing separately from the pilot in charge.
To ensure operational safety there are strict regulations controlling the use of drones, and every job and flight is thoroughly investigated to ensure the task can be completed safely and within the restrictions imposed by the CAA PfAW (Permission for Aerial Work).
In addition to creating stunning images and aerial video from a unique view point, the aerial system can also be used for land and building surveying. Whether it is to record ground details prior to development, or to photograph roof damage for insurance claims or inspect chimneys prior to maintenance.
